Where it works

  • Plants

Parts, dies and coils at working height at a press or a cell.

  • Warehouses

Pallets and stock up to a mezzanine or a second floor.

  • Docks

Loads between the ground, the truck bed and the dock.

  • Distribution

Cartons and packages between conveyor levels.

Pick a lift by the load, the height it has to reach and the floor space you have. Send us those and we confirm the model before you order.

Capacity

Standard models lift 300 to 135,000 lb. Size the lift against the heaviest load plus any pallet or fixture on it. Tell us if the load sits off center or rolls on over an edge, because edge loads need a lift rated for them.

Travel and heights

Scissor lift tables travel from 5 in on the shortest models to 546 in on the tallest stacked scissor lift. Standard freight lifts travel 96 to 360 in. Check the lowered height as well. A pan style lift that lowers to 1/2 inch lets a pallet jack roll on with no pit.

Type of lift

Scissor lift tables hold a load at a work station. Dock lifts move loads between the ground and the dock or truck bed, and truck levelers raise the truck itself. Freight lifts, also called VRCs, carry materials between floors. Tilters and turntables turn the load so the worker reaches it without bending, and bascule bridges span a traffic way and lift clear.

Power

Most lifts are hydraulic, with the power unit on board or mounted remotely. Air lifts run on shop air with no oil, which suits clean rooms. Mechanical lifts use a chain, screw or column actuator and repeat programmed stops. Battery models roll between work stations.

What to send for a quote

  • The heaviest load, its footprint and how it gets on the lift
  • The lowered and raised heights you need, or the floor to floor height
  • The floor space, and whether a pit is possible
  • The power at the site (voltage and phase) or the shop air supply
  • Your delivery ZIP code

Drawings or photos of the work area help. We send a written quote with the model, options and freight.

Questions

Can a lift be built to a size that is not listed?

Often, yes. Freight lifts, compact lifts and the air cargo dock lift are built beyond their standard models, and many lines take options. Send us the load, travel and platform size and we check it with the factory.

What is the difference between a dock lift and a truck leveler?

A dock lift raises the load between the ground and the dock or truck bed. A truck leveler raises the truck so its bed sits at dock height.

Do you sell parts for a lift we already own?

Yes. We quote replacement parts and factory service. Send the model and serial number from the lift's data plate and what you need.

What is a lift table?

A lift table raises a load on folding steel legs and holds it at the height where people work, so nobody bends or reaches at a pallet, press or assembly cell. Standard models lift 300 to 135,000 lb through 5 to 546 in of travel.

How do I get a price?

Call us or send the form. Tell us what you move, the route and your ZIP. We send a written quote with the machine, freight and build time.

How does it arrive?

Most machines go by freight truck from the factory. Parts and smaller items can go by FedEx or UPS. Freight to your ZIP is on your quote before you order. Rush and overnight shipping cost extra. We sell and ship to US addresses only.

What warranty comes with it?

EK Tech covers Pony Express tuggers for 2 years on the frame and drive and 1 year on other parts. For DJ Products and Autoquip equipment, ask us.
