Buying guide
Choose a lithium tugger when the machine has to work more than one shift. The pack lifts off and a charged spare goes on, so the tugger never waits on a charger.
Towing capacity
The 1061 Lithium tows 1,500 lb and the 1061-HD Lithium 2,000 lb on a flat floor. The 1065 Lithium tows 5,000 lb on casters and up to 20,000 lb on rails. The AC Tugger 25K+ Lithium tows 25,000 lb on casters and 100,000 lb on rails.
Size the tugger against the full train, every cart plus its heaviest load. A ramp lowers what any tugger can pull, so give us the slope too.
Packs and charging
The 1061 Lithium, 1061-HD Lithium and 1065 Lithium run on a 24 V, 40 Ah lithium iron phosphate pack. A pack recharges in less than 3 hours on the 1061 models. The AC Tugger 25K+ Lithium runs a 48 V, 120 Ah pack with a fast swap connector and recharges in about 90 minutes.
For continuous work plan at least two packs per tugger and one charging station. The battery monitor warns with light and sound before a pack needs a charge, and a Bluetooth app shows the state of charge on a phone.
Lithium or AGM
An AGM tugger with an onboard charger is the simpler choice for one shift with overnight charging. It plugs into any 120 or 240 VAC outlet. Lithium pays off when the same machine runs two or three shifts.

Questions
How many battery packs do we need?
One pack runs the tugger while a second charges. For two or three shifts, plan two packs per tugger and one charging station, and tell us your shift pattern so we can confirm.
How fast does a lithium tugger go?
Up to 3 mph, about walking pace. The 1061 Lithium, 1065 Lithium and AC Tugger 25K+ Lithium have a low range of 0 to 1.5 mph for crowded halls.
Are lithium packs harder to ship or store?
The lithium iron phosphate packs carry UN38.3 transport certification. Store and charge them as the manual says, within the charging temperature range.
Which tuggers come with a lithium pack?
The 1061 Lithium tows 1,500 lb, the 1061-HD Lithium 2,000 lb, the 1065 Lithium 5,000 lb and the AC Tugger 25K+ Lithium 25,000 lb on casters. Each runs a lithium iron phosphate pack that lifts off so a charged spare goes on in its place.
