Towing capacity
The Pony Express 1065 tows 5,000 lb and the 1065-XHD 7,500 lb on a flat floor. The CartCaddy4SC and the Roll Pusher move 20,000 lb, and the AC Tugger 25K+ tows 25,000 lb on casters. The CartCaddyHD ChainDrive moves up to 50,000 lb with a hydraulic lift for traction.
Floors, ramps and traction
Every rating is on a flat floor. Ramps, wet floors and rough surfaces lower what a tugger can pull. The 1065 and 1065-XHD carry a 30 degree incline rating at a reduced load. For other models give us the slope and the floor and we confirm.
Walk-behind or ride on
Most models are walk-behind at up to 3 mph, about walking pace. The RiderCaddy is a ride on tug that pulls up to 10,000 lb on long routes.
Batteries
The AGM 1065 models recharge in about 4 hours from the onboard charger and run up to 8 hours. The 1065 Lithium and AC Tugger 25K+ Lithium swap packs for multi shift work. The CartCaddy heavy duty units run up to 16 hours on their 36 V packs.

Questions
Can a heavy duty tugger replace a forklift?
For towing wheeled carts and trains, often yes. A tugger does not lift loads off the floor. Tell us the job and we say which machine fits.
What about carts on four swivel casters?
They steer poorly behind a standard tug. The CartCaddy4SC lifts the front of the cart and steers it, up to 20,000 lb.
Can it move loads on rails?
Yes. The AC Tugger 25K+ is rated for 100,000 lb on rails and the 1065 Lithium for 20,000 lb on rails.
How much can a heavy duty tugger tow?
The Pony Express 1065 tows 5,000 lb and the 1065-XHD 7,500 lb on a flat floor. The AC Tugger 25K+ is rated for 25,000 lb on casters and 100,000 lb on rails, and the CartCaddyHD ChainDrive moves up to 50,000 lb. A ramp lowers what any tugger can pull.

Most machines go by freight truck from the factory. Parts and smaller items can go by FedEx or UPS. Freight to your ZIP is on your quote before you order. Rush and overnight shipping cost extra. We sell and ship to US addresses only.
What warranty comes with it?
EK Tech covers Pony Express tuggers for 2 years on the frame and drive and 1 year on other parts. For DJ Products and Autoquip equipment, ask us.
