The Pony Express 1040 is the compact cart in the platform line. It carries up to 1,000 lb on a 24 by 32 inch non-skid deck that sits 12 inches off the floor, low enough to load by hand.
A thumb wheel on the handle drives the cart forward and in reverse at walking pace, up to 3 mph in the high range and 1.5 mph in the low range. When the operator lets go, regenerative braking brings the cart to a stop and an electromagnetic brake holds it.
A 35 Ah AGM battery is rated for about 8 hours of operation. The charger is built in, so the cart recharges from a 120 or 240 volt outlet in about 4 hours.
The 1040 is rated for a 3 degree incline at full load, so it suits level floors. If the route crosses a ramp or a dock plate, the Pony Express 1040-E carries the same 1,000 lb up a 15 degree incline.
Up to 1,000 lb on its 24 by 32 inch deck. For a heavier single load, the 1031 series carries 1,500 or 2,000 lb.
It is rated for a 3 degree incline at full load. If your route crosses a ramp or a dock plate, choose the 1040-E, rated for 15 degrees at the same 1,000 lb. Send us the slope and we confirm the model.
About 8 hours of operation on its 35 Ah AGM battery. The onboard charger plugs into a 120 or 240 volt outlet and recharges the cart in about 4 hours.
Up to 3 mph in the high range and 1.5 mph in the low range, forward and reverse. The operator sets the speed with a thumb wheel on the handle.
