Overview
The PartsCaddy Side Steer is a powered platform cart with the handle on the side, so the operator walks beside the load and can see past it. It comes with a 27 by 48 inch bed, and larger beds are available.
Two drive packages are offered, an 800 lb transaxle on a 24 volt system of two sealed batteries or a 1,500 lb transaxle on a 36 volt system of three. A variable speed twist grip runs the cart from 0 to 3 mph forward and reverse.
A safety stop switch at the back of the handle box stops the cart at once when pressed. An external automatic charger comes standard. Each unit is built to order for the load it moves. Send us the weight, the floor surface, any ramps and the bed size you need, and we quote the right drive and battery package in writing.
Options
- Foam filled tires
- Safety stop switch and guard kit
- Larger bed
- Safety horn
- Upgraded sealed charger
- High output motor, controller and brake (36 volt unit)
Questions
How much can the Side Steer carry?
It depends on the drive package, the floor and the load. The 24 volt unit uses an 800 lb transaxle and the 36 volt unit a 1,500 lb transaxle. Tell us the load and the route and we confirm the rating in writing.
Why choose side steering?
The operator walks beside the cart instead of behind it, which gives a clear view past a tall or long load.
How long does a charge last?
The batteries usually last one shift. We size the battery package to your route and load on the quote.
How do I get a price?
Call us or send the form. Tell us what you move, the route and your ZIP. We send a written quote with the machine, freight and build time.
How does it arrive?
Most machines go by freight truck from the factory. Parts and smaller items can go by FedEx or UPS. Freight to your ZIP is on your quote before you order. Rush and overnight shipping cost extra. We sell and ship to US addresses only.
