Overview
The Flatbed Chaindrive Remote Steer moves heavy equipment and material on a low steel flatbed that the operator drives and steers by wireless remote. It is rated for 5,000 lb with the standard 1 hp, 36 volt drive and up to 10,000 lb with the optional 3 hp drive.
The unit is about 78.75 inches long, 40.5 inches wide and 15 inches high and weighs 1,054 lb with batteries. Two 12 inch solid rubber drive tires at the front and three 5 inch casters at the rear carry the bed, and a 2 to 1 chain reduction drives the tires.
Steering and travel are proportional, so the farther the paddle moves, the faster the unit travels or turns, up to 2 mph forward and reverse. An emergency stop on the transmitter brings a controlled stop and sets the motor brake. Each unit is built to order for the load it moves. Send us the weight, the floor surface, any ramps and the bed size you need, and we quote the right drive and battery package in writing.
