Overview
Motorized transfer carts move the loads that would otherwise need a forklift or an overhead crane, such as pipe, dies, coils, structural steel and finished assemblies. The standard range runs from 5,000 to 30,000 lb, and builds up to 40,000 lb are engineered on request.
Rail carts follow single or dual rails on V-groove or flanged steel wheels and suit a fixed route and very long loads, with mother and daughter pairs for loads that overhang one cart. Steerable carts are trackless on polyurethane or rubber wheels and turn tightly in crowded aisles.
AC induction motors drive and steer the cart. Speed control goes down to 0.1 mph, with ranges of 0.1 to 1.5 mph or 0.1 to 3 mph. Regenerative braking returns energy to the battery, and swappable 48 volt AGM or lithium iron phosphate packs keep around the clock work moving.
The deck is sized to your load and can carry a flat steel plate, a hydraulic lift or a top that secures your equipment. Controls are a tiller on a mast or a wireless joystick. Every cart in this line is built to order, so it is priced by written quote. Send us what you move, its weight and size, and the route it travels, including doors, elevators and ramps. We confirm the build with the factory and send the quote with the lead time.

How much can a transfer cart move?

Do I need rails in my plant?
Only for a rail cart. Steerable carts run trackless on polyurethane or rubber wheels and need no floor work. We help you choose before anything is quoted.
How slowly can it move a heavy load?
Down to 0.1 mph, with full torque at that crawl, so the operator can inch a coil or a die into place.
Can the cart lift or tilt the load?
Yes. Hydraulic lifts and decks that lift, tilt or rotate are available, along with built in scales.

How does it arrive?
