Buying guide
Pick a laundry tugger by the weight of the loaded carts or bins, how they couple and the route. The two models share a 25 by 24 inch chassis and run on non-marking tires.
Towing capacity
The 1062-LS tows up to 2,000 lb and suits linen carts and basket trucks on hospital and hotel floors. The 1065-LS tows up to 5,000 lb and suits bulk laundry bins and longer trains.
Hitches for carts and bins
The 1065-LS couples to bulk bins with a quick connect hitch and no changes to the bins. The optional bin to bin hitch links MOD72P series bins or an equivalent, so one trip moves several bins without them knocking together.
The 1062-LS front plate takes the pintle, ball, ring and quick release pin hitches. Send us photos of how your carts couple and we match the hitch.
Speed and floors
Both run 0 to 1.5 mph in the low range for service corridors and elevator lobbies, and 0 to 3 mph in the high range for long back of house runs. The foam filled tires do not go flat and leave no marks on finished floors.

How long does a laundry tugger run on a charge?
Both models run up to 8 hours on AGM batteries and recharge in about 4 hours from the onboard charger on a standard outlet.
Can one tugger move carts and bins?
Each cart or bin type needs its matching hitch or coupler. Tell us the cart and bin types you run and we confirm the hitches in the quote.
Is a laundry tugger quiet enough for patient floors?
The tuggers run under 65 dBA with an operator horn, and the non-marking tires run quietly on hard floors.
How many linen carts can one tugger pull?
As many as fit within the rating. The 1062-LS tows up to 2,000 lb and the 1065-LS up to 5,000 lb on a flat floor, counting every cart or bin and its load. Tell us the loaded cart weight and the steepest ramp and we confirm the train length.

How does it arrive?
Most machines go by freight truck from the factory. Parts and smaller items can go by FedEx or UPS. Freight to your ZIP is on your quote before you order. Rush and overnight shipping cost extra. We sell and ship to US addresses only.
What warranty comes with it?
EK Tech covers Pony Express tuggers for 2 years on the frame and drive and 1 year on other parts. For DJ Products and Autoquip equipment, ask us.
