The Pony Express 1031-S2000 carries up to 2,000 lb on the short 40 inch deck, the easiest 1031 to turn and park. The non-skid deck sits 11.5 inches off the floor and has curved corners and a wrap around vinyl bumper.
The drive wheel sits under the middle of the cart, so it turns tighter than a front wheel drive cart in crowded aisles. A spring suspension keeps the drive wheel on the floor.
Two 12 volt 35 Ah AGM batteries are rated for about 8 hours of operation. The charger is built in and recharges the cart from a 120 or 240 volt outlet in about 4 hours.
A thumb wheel sets the speed, up to 3 mph in the high range and 1.5 mph in the low range, forward and reverse. When the operator lets go, regenerative braking stops the cart and an electromagnetic brake holds it.
Up to 2,000 lb on its 25.5 by 40 inch deck. The 1031-S has the same deck rated for 1,500 lb.
Pick the shortest deck that holds your largest load. The 1031 series comes with 40, 49 and 61 inch decks that are 25.5 inches wide, and a 34.5 by 52 inch deck. A shorter deck turns and parks in less space and fits smaller elevators.
About 8 hours of operation on two 12 volt 35 Ah AGM batteries. The onboard charger plugs into a 120 or 240 volt outlet and recharges in about 4 hours.
The owner manual limits travel to inclines of 6 degrees or less, and the cart should be loaded, unloaded and parked on a level floor. For steeper ramps, ask us about the 1040-E series, rated for up to 15 degrees at 1,000 lb.
