Overview
The Pony Express 2085 puts two drawer columns on a powered drive. The nurse sets the speed with a thumb wheel and walks alongside, so a loaded medication cart moves through the med pass without being pushed.
The cart is 54 inches long, 27 inches wide and 51 inches high. It runs from 0 to 3 mph, is rated for a 6 degree incline and gives up to 10 miles of operation on a charge. Regenerative braking stops it under control and an automatic holding brake keeps it still on a slope.
The columns take drawers 3, 4, 6 or 9 inches high with adjustable dividers, so deep drawers for bulk items sit beside shallow ones for unit dose. Corner bumpers protect walls and the casters have non-marking tires.
The 2085 is built to order, so it is priced by written quote. Tell us the med pass and the locking you need and we confirm the build.

What drawer sizes can I get?
Drawers 3, 4, 6 or 9 inches high in two columns, with adjustable dividers so the compartments match your packaging. Send us a rough layout and we confirm it with the factory.
How is medication secured?
Choose individual drawer locks, column locks, an electronic keypad with a PIN code, or a keypad with a proximity card reader tied to your badges.
Will it climb the ramps in our building?
It is rated for a 6 degree incline. The automatic holding brake keeps it still at zero speed on a slope.
How far does one charge go?
Up to 10 miles of operation. The on board charger plugs into a 120 or 240 volt outlet through a 10 foot hospital grade retractable cord.
