Overview
The TrailerCaddy Terminal Tractor spots semi trailers, OTR trailers and tank trailers up to 100,000 lb in and out of dock doors at plants and distribution centers. The operator walks alongside facing forward, so there is no backing up from a cab.
A 6 HP motor and differential transaxle drive four 18 inch solid tread tires through a 5.6 to 1 chain reduction, with an AC digital controller. A thumb control sets speed from 0 to 1.3 mph forward and reverse. Four 150 Ah batteries make a 48 volt system, with an external charger. A heavy duty king pin receiver for fifth wheel trailers and a 10 inch hydraulic pump lift kit are standard.
Options include pintle and ball hitches, an air brake release kit with glad hand cables, lighting kits and battery upgrades to 8 or 16 batteries, in AGM for overseas shipment. Operators need training, so ask us what your site requires.
