Overview
The AircraftCaddy 4K and 8K moves aircraft in and out of the hangar with one person. The 4K is rated for aircraft up to 4,000 lb with a 500 lb transaxle, and the 8K for aircraft up to 8,000 lb with an 800 lb transaxle. Both work on aircraft with or without wheel pants.
A twist grip sets speed from 0 to 2 mph forward and reverse, and a 2 to 1 chain reduction drives the tires. The battery system is 24 volt with two batteries or 36 volt with three, with an onboard charger. The handlebars come apart for shipping and storage.
Options include a wheel cradle or wheel guide for your nose gear, a hand crank or electric winch with strap, tow bars, foam filled turf tires, a ball hitch for trailers, a safety stop switch, a nine tooth gear for heavier aircraft and inclines, and the Magic Arm loading attachment.
Questions
Should we order the 4K or the 8K?
Pick by the maximum ramp weight of the heaviest aircraft you move. The 4K is rated to 4,000 lb and the 8K to 8,000 lb. Tell us the aircraft type and we confirm the rating.
Does it work with wheel pants?
Yes. A wheel cradle or a wheel guide is fitted to suit your nose gear, with or without pants. Send us the nose tire size.
How big is it?
About 70.5 inches long, 40.5 inches wide and 39.75 inches to the handle head, from the maker drawing.
Can it handle a sloped ramp?
A nine tooth gear option adds torque for heavier aircraft, inclines and bumps at a lower speed. Tell us the slope when you ask for a quote.
How do I get a price?
Call us or send the form. Tell us what you move, the route and your ZIP. We send a written quote with the machine, freight and build time.
How does it arrive?
Most machines go by freight truck from the factory. Parts and smaller items can go by FedEx or UPS. Freight to your ZIP is on your quote before you order. Rush and overnight shipping cost extra. We sell and ship to US addresses only.
