Overview
The Canister Mover is a custom low profile powered flatbed built to move and align heavy canisters up to 10,000 lb. The bed is 48 inches wide and 120 inches long, and its top stays under 26 inches from the floor.
Four guide pin actuator assemblies position the canister, with an interlock that stops the inside and outside pin sets moving at the same time. A wired pendant with a joystick drives the cart forward, back, left and right and runs the guide pins.
A chain drive flatbed platform with dual wheel drive and a 3 hp motor moves the load on solid 12 by 4 inch non-marking tires that cannot go flat. Sealed AGM batteries charge from a 30 A onboard wash down charger on a 110 volt outlet. Each unit is built to order for the load it moves. Send us the weight, the floor surface, any ramps and the bed size you need, and we quote the right drive and battery package in writing.
