Buying guide
Pick a cart pusher by the heaviest loaded cart, the casters under it and the length of the shift. Send us those and a photo of the cart.
Cart pushers here move 1,000 to 20,000 lb. The CartCaddyLite models and the dialysis cart mover take carts up to 1,000 lb. The CartCaddy5W moves up to 7,000 lb, or 10,000 lb with the high output controller option. The CartCaddy4SC and the Roll Pusher push up to 20,000 lb.
Ratings depend on the floor, the incline and the wheels on the cart. A cart with worn or seized casters takes far more force, so fix the wheels before you size the machine.
The casters under your cart decide the attachment. The CartCaddy5W latches to the swivel end of a cart with two swivel and two fixed wheels. The CartCaddy4SC and the dialysis cart mover take carts on four swivel casters, and the dialysis mover lifts the front of the cart with a J hook.
Custom attachments are offered on several models. A photo of the cart from the side and from below lets us specify it.
The CartCaddy5W runs 4 to 8 hours on a charge, depending on the load. The CartCaddyLite runs up to 6 hours, and the dialysis cart mover and the CartCaddy4SC up to 16 hours.
The CartCaddy5W charges from a standard 120 volt outlet. For washdown or sanitary areas, the CartCaddy5W also comes with a stainless steel frame.
We check the job against the machine and send a written quote with the model, the options and freight.
No tow arms are needed. The pusher latches to the cart itself. Some carts need a small receiver or a custom attachment, which we specify from your photo.
A pusher drives one cart at a time and steers it precisely through tight spaces. A tugger tows a train of carts over longer routes. Tell us the route and we suggest one.
Yes. The CartCaddyLite hospital models and the dialysis cart mover are built for carts up to 1,000 lb in healthcare buildings.
Up to 3 mph forward and reverse, set by a twist grip or thumb control, so the operator walks at a normal pace.
The CartCaddyLite hospital models and the dialysis cart mover handle carts to 1,000 lb, the CartCaddy5W 7,000 lb, and the CartCaddy4SC and the roll pusher 20,000 lb carts and paper rolls.
