Overview
The mechanical 4 post VRC lifts heavy freight between several levels with precise starts and stops. A brake motor and gear reducer turn a common drive shaft, and heavy roller chain raises the carriage at four points.
The synchronized chains keep the carriage level even with an off-center load. Open carriage sides let you load from any direction. Custom builds have reached about 100 feet of travel.
There are 36 standard models that handle 6,000 to 20,000 lb. Vertical travel is 120 to 240 in. Lowered height is 4.25 to 6.25 in. Carriage widths are 72 to 144 in and lengths are 72 to 180 in. Each model has its own row and model number in the table on this page.

Can a 4 post VRC serve more than two levels?
Yes. The mechanical drive can be called or sent to several levels in a building or a conveyor system. Send us the height of each level and the heaviest load.
How do we pick the right model?
Start with the travel from the lower floor to the top landing, then the heaviest load and its footprint. Pick a model whose travel, capacity and carriage size cover all three. Each model has its own row and model number on this page.
What do we send for a quote?

How fast does the carriage travel?
The speed depends on the model, the load and the power unit. The maker does not list it for the standard models, so ask us for the time on the model you need.
