Overview
The 90 degree rotator turns a load from flat to upright and back at a controlled speed. It suits square, evenly balanced loads such as coils, dies and engines, where the center of gravity stays over the middle of the load as it turns.
The load turns inside the rotator's own footprint, so it needs about half the floor space of an upender with two open wings. Single-acting hydraulic cylinders and a linkage do the work, with controls prewired and the power unit on board.
There are 19 standard models that handle 2,000 to 15,000 lb. The platform tilts 90 degrees. Lowered height is 12 to 15 in. Platform widths are 36 to 84 in and lengths are 36 to 84 in. Each model has its own row and model number in the table on this page.
What comes standard
- Controls prewired and the power unit on board, so it needs only an electrical connection
- Chrome-plated 100,000 psi pins at the joints
- Steel-reinforced platform at least 1/4 inch thick
- Maintenance devices that block the unit open for inspection
- See-through oil reservoir for a quick fluid check
Questions
What loads suit a non-intrusive rotator?
Square, evenly balanced loads such as coils, dies and engine blocks. The center of gravity has to stay near the middle of the load as it turns. Send us the load's weight, size and where its weight sits, and we confirm the model.
How do we pick the right model?
Start with the heaviest load and its footprint. Pick a model whose capacity covers the load and whose platform fits it, then the tilt angle that brings the far side of the container within reach. Each model has its own row and model number on this page.
What do we send for a quote?
The model number from the table, or the load weight and size and the heights you need. Add the power at the site and your delivery ZIP code. We confirm the model and send a written quote.
How fast does it tilt?
The speed depends on the model, the load and the power unit. The maker does not list it for the standard models, so ask us for the time on the model you need.
How do I get a price?
Call us or send the form. Tell us what you move, the route and your ZIP. We send a written quote with the machine, freight and build time.
How does it arrive?
Most machines go by freight truck from the factory. Parts and smaller items can go by FedEx or UPS. Freight to your ZIP is on your quote before you order. Rush and overnight shipping cost extra. We sell and ship to US addresses only.
